The remains of a stone building perch, staring out to sea on the stunning Northwick beach on Papa Westray, Orkney. Pure white sand and the occassional curious seal were the only distractions we had strolling along this beach on one of the more remote islands, 2001 census population - 65. We reached the island by the world's shortest scheduled flight, took all of 90 seconds and spent the day strolling around this stunning island with turquoise seas, white sand, amazing history and no-one else around. Truly a day to remember. Canon EOS 20D
